Dr. Nixida Ansolone is excited to join The Maywood Veterinary Clinic as an Associate Veterinarian. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a minor in Classical Piano Performance from Purchase College before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee. Bilingual in English and Spanish, Dr. Ansolone values the opportunity to connect with and support a diverse community of clients and their pets.
Her professional interests include internal medicine, dermatology, and behavioral medicine. As a Fear Free Certified veterinarian, she is committed to creating a calm, comfortable, and positive experience for every patient. Dr. Ansolone believes exceptional veterinary care starts with trust, and she’s passionate about building lasting client relationships through open communication, compassion, and education. She also has a strong interest in teaching and looks forward to mentoring veterinary students throughout her career.
During veterinary school, Dr. Ansolone served as President of the Latinx Veterinary Medical Association, where she worked to foster community and expand representation of Hispanic professionals in the veterinary field.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Ansolone enjoys traveling, puzzles, trying new restaurants, playing piano, reading, and attending performances at Carnegie Hall and by the New York Philharmonic. She loves exploring new places with her Chihuahua, Winky, and spending time with family both locally and in Spain.
