Dr. Annalise Lower is excited to be joining Maywood Veterinary Clinic as an associate veterinarian and looks forward to working with all the wonderful clients and their pets! She grew up in the blue crab state of Maryland. Annalise earned a B.A. in biology and minor in psychology from William & Mary where she also played lacrosse for the Tribe. She went on to earn her doctorate of veterinary medicine from the Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech.
Dr. Lower is a Fear Free Certified practitioner and is dedicated to reducing fear, stress, and anxiety for her patients at the clinic. Her goal is to foster a positive experience for both her patients and her clients and to help support the relationship her clients have with their beloved pets. Her special interests include behavior, dentistry, neurology, and cardiology.
She has two dogs that keep her busy, a wire-haired dachshund named Oliver and a bearded collie named Bonnie. In her free time, she loves to be outdoors, hiking, biking, skiing, and kayaking. She enjoys traveling and her personal goal is to visit all 63 national parks in her lifetime. When she is not outside exploring, she also loves to read and bake.
